We arrive in the Azores at Ponta Delgada Airport, where our marina is located – the start and finish point of our journey.
Ponta Delgada, the capital of the Azores, was founded in the 15th century and is known for its historic landmarks like the City Gates and the Church of Saint Sebastian. We recommend visiting the Gruta do Carvão lava caves – a natural tunnel stretching about 1,912 meters.
We’ll get to know each other over dinner and prepare for the upcoming voyage.
Day 2 (Sun) – Passage to Vila Franca do Campo
Day 3 (Mon) – Sail to Vila do Porto, Santa Maria Island. Whale watching
Day 4 (Tue) – Passage to São Lourenço Bay
Day 5 (Wed) – Sail to Praia Formosa
Day 6 (Thu) – Return to Vila Franca do Campo. Whales and dolphins
